MAYOR

Mayor Robert Benson appointed Councilman Kammer as the Council Representative to the Navarre-Bethlehem Park Board for two-year term of 2023-2024 and requested Council’s consent.  Mr. Cline motioned to approve the appointment and Mr. Smith seconded.  Gallion yes, Kammer yes, Cline yes, Rouse yes, Lehman yes, Smith yes.  Six yes votes.  Appointment carried.

 Mayor Robert Benson appointed Jim Savage to the Navarre-Bethlehem Township Joint Fire District Board of Trustees, as Council’s appointment for a two-year term for 2023-2024 and requested Council’s consent.  Mr. Kammer motioned to approve the appointment and Mr. Smith seconded.  Gallion yes, Kammer yes, Cline yes, Rouse yes, Lehman yes, Smith yes.  Six yes votes.  Appointment carried.

 Mayor Benson wished all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  ADMINISTATOR

Administrator Zachary Wisselgren reported the light controller at the intersection of Main Street and Canal Street will be adjusted on Thursday.  Also, he said the basement of Village Hall has been cleaned up and the insurance company issued a check in the amount of $12.000.00 for restoration.  He advised there was a recent EPA inspection at the Water Plant and that signs have been ordered for the truck route. 

 MISCELLANEOUS

Mr. Cline reported that Dave Miller, speaker at the Memorial Day Ceremony, recently passed away.

 Ms. Lehman said she wrote the Letter to the Editor.  Also, she reported dates have been set for the Land Conservancy Presentation.  She said there will be a short, twenty-minute presentation before the regular Council Meeting on January 23, 2023; and there will be a longer presentation on February 16, 2023   Ms. Lehman mentioned how nice the tree looked at Rochester Square that was provided by the Garden Club.

 Mr. Smith reported there was a Finance Committee Meeting tonight before the Council Meeting and there will be a Council of the Whole Meeting on January 23, 2023.

Mr. Smith moved to adjourn the meeting.  Mr. Cline seconded.  Gallion yes, Kammer yes, Cline yes, Rouse yes, Smith yes.  Five yes votes.   Meeting adjourned.
